CSA CSA It Is That Time Of Year CSA CSA

View off the front deck from recent snow.

Barn and chicken shed. The girls are still pumping out some beautiful brown eggs. They like the snow and enjoy scratching through for unknown treasures. I'm not sure what critters they are digging to the surface, but it provides plenty of exercise and amusement.
Walk the talk. You know you want fresh local and organically grown food. You keep thinking about supporting a CSA. This is the time to make the commitment, as in now.
Why now? Ah..........so glad you ask. A small produce grower's season starts now, not May, when you enjoy the contents of that first delivery. Seeds, potting soil, fertilizer, equipment, potato planting stock require payment during January, February and March.
Winter is traditionally lean for produce growers. Your share payment helps to cover these expenses at a time when cash flow is lowest. Despite frigid temperatures seeding will begin later this month with onions and flowers on heat mats.
Instead of sugarplums dancing in my head, I've had visions of delectable vegetables. Ruminate no longer-JUST DO IT! Sign up for a season of incredible tasting, fresh picked, organic produce.
